Ward Surgeries

Hello,

   Community engagement is central to my role as the Beat Officer for Birchington and Westgate on Sea, and is part the wider focus on neighbourhood policing in Kent Police. I host ward surgeries every month which are advertised locally on posters, in the various community magazines, and also on the My Community Voice platform. 

   These are informal, drop in sessions, where you can ask questions or raise any concerns you have about crime and anti-social behaviour in the area. I am regularly joined by Jason Gordon (Kent County Council) and representatives from other partner agencies such as Thanet District Council. We will usually have a variety of useful literature which you can take away with you to read your own leisure. I have attached a photograph below to demonstrate our usual set up and what you can expect to see at our ward surgeries.
